NIB finances Camfil AB’s R&D programme
NIB and Swedish Camfil AB have signed a loan agreement totalling SEK 220 million (EUR 25 million). The 8-year loan finances the company’s R&D investment programme for 2012–2015.
The NIB-financed programme includes advanced research, development and testing of new technologies and filter products at Camfil’s main R&D hub in Trosa, Sweden. More efficient air filtration will help reduce level of pollution that has strong impact on human health.
Camfil is planning to increase its annual R&D expenditure in the future, particularly in the areas of advanced filtering, energy efficiency and analysis of air quality.
