Folkemødet: Discuss the green and Nordic way out of the crisis

On Thursday, 17 June, you are welcome to take part in a panel debate discussing what it takes to get out of the current crisis in a green and Nordic way. The debate is part of Denmark’s “People Meeting”, or Folkemødet, and is arranged by the Nordic Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers in the town of Allinge on the Danish island of Bornholm.

NIB’s Head of Lending, Søren Kjær Mortensen, will participate in the debate to talk about NIB’s response lending to alleviate the pandemic fallout and how the Bank is offering sustainable financing for the green transition.

The Nordic Council of Ministers and the Nordic Council are also asking what Denmark can do together with the rest of the Nordic region – and whether enough is being done?

During the event, we are also presented with a concrete tool; Nordic Circular Economy Playbook, which helps companies to try themselves in relation to going all in on a sustainable product.

We look forward to the discussion together with our panellists, who are:
Frederik Vad Nielsen, Forbundsformand, Danmarks Socialdemokratiske Ungdom
Søren Kjær Mortensen, Head of Lending, Den Nordiske Investeringsbank
Niina Aagaard, Chief Operating Officer, Nordic Innovation
Marie Wibe, udviklingskonsulent i Bright Green Island

The debate will be livestreamed. Read more at norden.org.

If you are in Allinge on Thursday 17 June, you are most welcome to take part in the debate, 9:15–10:00 am at D11 – Scene 11, Allinge, Bornholm, Denmark.
