NIB co-hosts “Climate Strategies in Other Countries” seminar in Stockholm

On Tuesday 12 June, NIB and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) will co-host a seminar called “Climate Strategies in Other Countries” in Stockholm. Follow the live webcast to hear experts from Sweden, Germany, the UK, Canada and China speak about their countries’ strategies for achieving the climate goals, and discuss what they can learn from each other on the way.

The seminar is part of IVA’s project Climate Crossroads, with the aim of preparing an action plan for Sweden to achieve net zero emissions and at the same time increase its competitiveness. Tuula Teeri, IVA’s President, and Thomas Wrangdahl, NIB’s First Vice-President and Head of Lending, will open the seminar, and the moderator will be Ola Alterå, Director of the Swedish Climate Policy Council.

During the seminar, NIB’s Senior Environmental Analyst Lena Korkea-aho and Senior Lending Manager Patrik Marckert will describe the Bank’s criteria for financing projects aimed at having positive climate impact.
