NIB’s 40th anniversary marked in Lithuania

On 10 May 2016, the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Vilnius and the Lithuanian Ministry of Finance organised a seminar titled “NIB: New opportunities in the Nordic-Baltic region” in cooperation with the Embassy of Finland in Lithuania. The seminar marked the Nordic Investment Bank’s 40-year anniversary as a symbol of close cooperation between the Nordic and Baltic countries.

NIB’s President & CEO Henrik Normann participated in the seminar with a presentation on new opportunities for business in the region, and joined a panel discussion on the topic “Development of the capital markets in the Nordic-Baltic region and the role of international financial institutions” together with representatives of government and business.

The seminar was opened by Harri Mäki-Reinikka, Ambassador or Finland in Lithuania, and Algimantas Rimkūnas, Vice-Minister of Finance of Lithuania and member of the Board of Directors of NIB. Politicians, representatives of business and journalists attended the seminar.
