NIB and Sparebanken Hedmark finance SMEs in eastern Norway

NIB and Norway’s Sparebanken Hedmark have launched a NOK 600 million (EUR 63 million) loan facility for small and medium-sized enterprises and environmental projects in eastern Norway.

The loan facility has a 5.5-year tenor. The investments to be financed under the loan programme are expected to be in transportation, forestry, industrial machinery, construction machinery and IT equipment and to conform to NIB’s criteria for SMEs.

Sparebanken Hedmark is a member of the nationwide Sparebank 1 Alliance. The bank has some 181,000 customers and operates 26 branches in the Inland region, north of the country’s capital, Oslo.
