Fulfilment of NIB's mandate

The extension of Pier C, designed to accommodate larger aircraft, will help reduce the turnaround time for aircrafts and create additional capacity for passengers. The project will allow the airport to benefit from the growth potential offered by long-haul flights. Customers will benefit from improved transport infrastructure, as well as reduced travel and waiting time. Creating jobs and promoting mobility and tourism, a modern transport hub will contribute to the economic competitiveness of the region.

Sustainability summary

During the construction, only minor instances of contaminated soil were found and properly dealt with.
