Project
The 10-year-maturity loan totalling EUR 30 million has been provided to re-finance investments in R&D activities, emission treatment and renewable energy.
Sustainability summary
The projects are in accordance with NIB’s environmental policy and guidelines. The output of the hydropower plants has increased. The R&D activities have been aimed at energy efficient production technology. The emissions from aluminium production have been reduced. NIB estimates that the loan will contribute to a decrease of approximately 20,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
