Project
The 10-year-maturity loan totalling DKK 75 million (EUR 10 million) has been provided for financing wind turbine projects carried out by local small and medium-sized enterprises in Denmark, in particular in western Jutland.
Ringkjøbing Landbobank is a regional bank with 20 years of experience in financing wind power projects in Denmark.
Sustainability summary
The loan will support the expansion of the power generation from wind, which is a clean, renewable and predictable source of energy, thus reducing the need for energy production from fossil fuels. The west coastal area of Jutland is a sparsely populated area and has favourable environmental and landscape conditions for the energy production. A limited impact on the environment is expected during the construction of the wind turbines. The impacts are fully reversible once the wind turbines are dismantled. 100% of the project is considered as an environmental investment.
