NIB finances four new green public-use buildings in Sweden
NIB and Swedish real estate company Vacse AB have agreed a 15-year loan to finance four new BREEAM-certified office buildings in Sweden.
The SEK 550 million loan will co-finance the construction of the four new buildings, with a total project cost of SEK 1.110 million, of which the NIB loan covers 50%.
The new head office for Boverket in Karlskrona is under construction and is scheduled to be completed in June 2025. The building will be certified according to BREEAM Outstanding, Well, and NollCO2 and will have an energy class A.
A new building for the District Court of Borås is being built and is expected to be ready in May 2025. It will be certified according to BREEAM Outstanding and will have an energy class A.
A new municipal building for Enköping is under construction. The building is expected to be ready before the end of Q1 2026. It will be certified according to BREEAM Outstanding and will have an energy class A.
A new building for the District Court of Norrköping was completed in May 2024. The building is certified according to BREEAM Excellent and has an energy class B.
This is the third loan NIB has agreed with Vacse AB for developing and constructing BREEAM certified properties in Sweden. The first loan was in 2019 and the second in 2021.
