New head of lending

Nils E. Emilsson from Sweden has been appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Lending at the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB). He will join NIB on 1 April 2006 at the latest. Mr. Emilsson will head the new Lending Department, and will be responsible for NIB’s lending operations both in and outside the Bank’s member countries. He will be a member of the NIB Management Committee. Mr. Emilsson joins NIB from HSH Nordbank, Stockholm Branch, where he currently works as General Manager.

Mr. Emilsson has extensive working experience from the banking and finance sector. He worked in Svenska Handelsbanken from 1985 to 1992 and has been with West LB Europe, later LB Kiel and finally HSH Nordbank since 1992. He worked as General Manager, LB Kiel, Helsinki Branch in 2001-2002.
