Three new loans to energy companies in Iceland

The loan to Hitaveita Suðurnesja provides financing for the construction of the Reykjanes Power Plant and the upgrading of the existing Svartsengi Plant. The loan to Landsvirkjun finances two transmission lines, one to Alcoa´s forthcoming aluminum smelter in eastern Iceland and the other one to the extension of the Norðurál smelter in western Iceland. The loan to Orkuveita Reykjavíkur provides the financing to the construction of the Hellisheiði Power Plant.
