NIB President hosts reception in Moscow
On 5 November, NIB held a reception to inaugurate its new premises in the Russian capital, Moscow. The reception was hosted by the Bank’s President and CEO, Johnny Åkerholm, who said that NIB is paying close attention to developments in the Russian economy.
“We are constantly on the lookout for opportunities to lend to projects in Russia that comply with our mandate of supporting competitiveness and the environment. We have had our General Representative, Igor Kovtun, in Russia for three years. Local presence in a market as large as Russia, and direct contact with local authorities is a key to success,” said Mr Åkerholm.
A number of prominent guests attended the reception, among them ambassadors of Nordic countries, state officials, Russian bank executives, representatives of international organisations and the media.
