NIB lends USD 30 million to Vimpelcom 

On 16 November, NIB signed a USD 30 million loan agreement with Vimpelcom, the second largest mobile phone operator in Russia. NIB is providing the loan to support the roll-out of GSM-infrastructure in regions of Russia. The total amount of Vimpelcom’s investments in the telecommunication infrastructure stands at USD 1.4 billion this year. NIB has currently a loan outstanding of USD 20 million to Vimpelcom.
