A new building of a psycho-neurological hospital for children has been inaugurated in the Latvian town of Ainazi, 100 kilometres north of Riga.
The project was co-financed with a NIB loan amounting to EUR 1.8 million.
The new building is designed for 62 patients and equipped for child rehabilitation and physiotherapy, as well as their education, since some patients may stay longer in the hospital.
The hospital in Ainazi was one of four, including health care institutions in Strenci, Ludza and Akniste, with which NIB signed loan agreements in 2006.
