Loan for energy efficiency in Lithuania

This is NIB’s second loan in Lithuania to be implemented by the state-owned intermediary the Housing and Urban Development Foundation (HUDF). HUDF has helped municipalities to develop a financial structure for municipal environmental and energy projects and to attract foreign and, particularly, EU funding.

NIB has been active in the Baltic countries since 1991 and has financed more than 200 private and public sector projects. Outstanding commitments to the region amount to some 500 million euros.
