Jukka Ahonen appointed Director of Communications at NIB
Jukka Ahonen (FIN) has been appointed as Director of Communications at the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) from 1 September 2007. Mr Ahonen has several years’ international experience in external communication from the European Central Bank. He has also worked as a Special Assistant to the Governor of the Bank of Finland and as a journalist in Finland.
In line with NIB’s new strategy, the key aim of the Bank’s communications activities is to promote external awareness of the Bank in order to strengthen the NIB brand. The position of NIB Director of Communications is new. The Director will have the responsibility for the Bank’s external and internal communication, as well as media relations.
NIB is a multilateral financial institution owned by eight member countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. The Bank finances private and public projects in and outside the member countries. NIB has the highest possible credit rating, AAA/Aaa, with the leading rating agencies Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s.
