Johnny Åkerholm’s period as NIB President extended until 2012
The Board of Directors of NIB has prolonged the appointment of Johnny Åkerholm (Finland) as President and CEO of NIB. Mr Åkerholm took up his position on 1 April 2005 for a five-year period. This mandate has now been extended by two years until the end of March 2012, when he will go into retirement.
NIB is a multilateral financial institution owned by eight member countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. The Bank finances private and public projects in and outside the member countries. NIB has the highest possible credit rating, AAA/Aaa, with the leading rating agencies Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s.
