Financial co-operation for the Northern Dimension

Representatives for EIB, EBRD, IBRD, IFC, CEB, NEFCO and the European Commission attended the meeting, as well as representatives for the Governments holding the EU Presidency in the year 2001, Sweden and Belgium, and of the Government of Finland. The conference was held at the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) in Helsinki.

The purpose of the conference was to promote the development of a structured framework for the financing of projects of importance to the implementation of the Northern Dimension Action Plan. The meeting agreed, among other things, to establish a working group under the co-chairmanship of the Swedish EU Presidency and EBRD.
