Changes in the responsibilities of the NIB Executive Committee

With the retirement of Gunnar Okk, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, NIB has implemented organisational adjustments to ensure continuity, clarity in responsibilities, and strengthened operational alignment across the Bank. These changes at the level of the Executive Committee have taken effect on 1 April 2026.
IT responsibilities have moved to Luca de Lorenzo, who is leading a newly formed department: Sustainability, Mandate and Digitalisation.
Responsibility for Lending & Treasury Administration has been split: Lending administration has moved to Jeanette Vitasp, and Back Office Administration to Kim Skov Jensen. In addition, a new Treasury unit has been created within the Treasury and Finance department, including the appointment of a new Treasurer.
Office Services & Facilities has been transferred to Jukka Ahonen, who leads the newly established Corporate Affairs department, comprising Communications and Corporate Services.
The HR unit has been renamed People and Culture, and it has moved from the President & CEO’s Office to operate as a department.
“These changes mark an important next step for NIB as the Bank continues to evolve its organisational structure. We thank Gunnar for his significant contributions to NIB over the years and wish him all the best in his retirement”, says André Küüsvek, President and CEO of the Nordic Investment Bank.
