Project
The loan finances the construction of Landsbankinn’s new BREEAM Excellent certified headquarters located in the old harbour district Austurhöfn in central Reykjavik.
The new headquarters allows Landsbankinn to relocate all its operations to a single location with modern premises. The building provides flexible and open workspaces that support new working methods and closer collaboration within the bank.
The building will be environmentally certified and is expected to achieve an Excellent rating according to the international BREEAM classification. The project is eligible for financing from the proceeds of NIB Environmental Bonds.
Fulfilment of NIB's mandate
The bank will move operations from 12 buildings in the Reykjavik city center to the new headquarter building. By relocating all its operations to a single location with modern and flexible, Landsbankinn’s operations will overall become more efficient.
The building will be environmentally certified and is expected to achieve an Excellent rating according to the international BREEAM classification.
