The loan has been provided to Höganäs Holding AB to finance the company’s R&D programme during 2017–2021, and for research-related capital expenditure.
Höganäs Holding AB is the world’s leading manufacturer of metal powder, and an important high-tech employer in the Swedish metallurgical cluster. Höganäs sells its products in 75 countries. About 43% of the company’s 1,800 employees are based in Höganäs and Halmstad, Sweden.
Fulfilment of NIB's mandate
Höganäs is an important high-tech employer in the Swedish metallurgical cluster, with significant R&D investments. The research investments during 2017–2021 will go to continuous development of solutions for the automotive industry and to significant investments in new application areas for metal powder. Such new application areas include water treatment and soil cleaning, surface coating, as well as additive manufacturing.
