Project
The 8-year-maturity loan totalling EUR 30 million has been provided for onlending to small and medium-sized companies for financing projects that reduce diffuse emissions to air and water and/or strengthen the competitiveness of the companies.
At least half of the loan amount will be channelled to wind power projects and the other half to projects in the infrastructure, renewable energy, and research and development sectors.
Ålandsbanken was founded in 1919 and is nowadays listed on both the Finnish and Swedish stock exchanges. Ålandsbanken has offices in the Åland Islands and on the Finnish mainland and is expanding its activities to Sweden.
Sustainability summary
The loan programme is performed in accordance with NIB’s environmental policy and guidelines. At least half of the loan amount will be allocated to windpower projects.
