Stakeholder survey: NIB maintains high reputation

NIB has received results of its latest survey that indicates the Bank’s high level of reputation among the key stakeholder groups. The results show that NIB’s overall reputation remains very high and clearly outperforms the average level of corporate reputation in the financial industry among the lending customers. Another key stakeholder group, investors, appreciate NIB’s highest credit rating. The electronic NIB Newsletter, bilateral contacts and the Bank’s website appear to be the most favoured ways how NIB’s stakeholders would like to receive information from the Bank.




Litgrid: Baltic energy ring is now complete

At the end of 2015, Lithuania's Litgrid launched two major power links: LitPol co-financed by NIB, and NordBalt. The launch of both interconnections is happening a year after Lithuania set in operation the Baltic region’s first liquefied gas terminal “Independence” in the port of Klaipeda.



"There's a global urgency for climate financing"

Finland's government is allocating EUR 130 million in capital injection for Finnfund, a development finance agency. “There is a global urgency to finance climate investments. Both the capital increase and the financing from NIB are serving this purpose”, says Finnfund's Jaakko Kangasniemi.
