NIB finances investments in Tallinn Airport

In early February, NIB signed a loan agreement for a total of EUR 32 million with the Tallinn Airport, Tallinna Lennujaam, in Estonia.

Ahead of the expected growth of passenger turnover after the country joins the Schengen agreement area, the airport is set to invest in expanding its operational capacity and ensuring flight safety and environmentally safe aircraft operation and service. The airport plans to upgrade its passenger terminal and cargo inspection facilities in compliance with EU and international regulations.

This is also NIB’s first deal in the Baltic countries in which the Bank acts as a lead bank in a syndicated loan agreement that also involves SEB Eesti Ühispank as an agent bank.
