Projects with potentially extensive environmental impacts—category A—are made publicly available by NIB for comment before the Bank makes a decision on financing the project. Project summaries are available on NIB's website for a period of 30 days. Only after this public consultation will NIB's Board of Directors make a decision on the project.

On 18 July, the EU High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance will arrange a public hearing on the its interim report. Stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback to the European Commission and the Group on ways to establish a more sustainable financial system.
