Thomas Wrangdahl from Sweden has been appointed First Vice-President and Head of Lending at NIB. He will be a member of the Management Committee and responsible for NIB’s lending operations both in and outside the Bank’s member countries. Mr Wrangdahl will take up his appointment on 1 September 2012.
Thomas Wrangdahl worked as the General Manager of the BNP Paribas (Fortis) Stockholm Branch from 2006 to 2012. In 2010, he was also responsible for the Copenhagen Branch. Before that he has held various managerial positions, including at HSH Nordbank and ABB (Credit International and Asset and Structured Finance) both in Sweden and abroad. Currently, Mr Wrangdahl has assignments through his own consultancy company, Wrangdahl Consulting AB.

Harro Pitkänen has served as Acting Head of Lending since August 2010. Upon the appointment of Mr Wrangdahl, Mr Pitkänen will continue in his position as Senior Director, Head of Business Development & Control at NIB.
