The Bank's President and CEO, Johnny Åkerholm, gives an overview of the Bank's challenges and achievements in 2010, clarifies NIB's position in the financial market, and offers his forecast as to what investors and customers can expect in the new year. 

NIB in 2010: rebuilding loan inventory for strong-mandate projects
Improvements in the global economy affected the economies in the Nordic-Baltic region, which started to recover. High lending activity in previous years put limits on the level of loan disbursements in 2010. To increase the Bank's lending capacity in the years to come, the member countries decided to enlarge NIB's capital base.

The Annual Report for 2010 is available online. It includes the Bank's audited Financial Report, chapters on NIB's lending and funding operations, its mandate and corporate governance, as well as a large number of graphs and grids that reveal NIB's annual results in details.
